About
I am a Clinical Psychologist working in private practice and the NHS. I have 9 years of clinical experience across a wide range of settings, including mental and physical health. In my work I draw on a number of therapy models and approaches including cognitive behavioural models, systemic and integrative approaches to understanding mental health conditions.
My specialist interest and training lie within the Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic Psychotherapy model of work with adolescents and adults, which particularly focuses on the inner world and its influence on relationships and problems. I am an accredited Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) Practitioner.
Every intervention I offer is tailored according to the individual’s needs. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy in English and Bulgarian.
I am registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and abide by the BPS Code of Ethics and Conduct 2018.

This is by no means an exhausted list of difficulties for which psychological therapy could be helpful. I would be happy to respond to any queries you might have about a particular issue you wish to explore.
Individual therapy
The initial consultation consists of two sessions, 50 mins each. It is a collaborative process of beginning to think about what brings you to the consulting. It gives me an opportunity to find out a bit about you, your current circumstances, your aims and hopes from therapy. This helps me to begin to understand your presenting difficulties and whether I might be able to help.
It is important for me to hear your own understanding of your difficulties, how they developed over time, and the way they impact you and others around you. The consultation will allow you to have an experience of what it might be like to be in therapy.
At the end of the initial consultation we will discuss the nature of our therapeutic contract, if appropriate.
